Adding Color: 7 chandeliers that can transform any space

I am constantly looking for that one "wow" piece that really brings a room together. I often rely on wall finishes like paint and wallpaper to give that dramatic change feel, but I am currently opting for lighting changes over paint changes.

Why? Several Reasons.
A new chandelier can change the style of a room, whereas paint will just magnify or calm down the existing feel. I also LOVE investment pieces, things you absolutely adore and want to build a room/look around. And last but not least, commitment! Most clients know they only dropped a small amount on paint and labor and can easily change it when they get bored. Not such with a chandelier. It forces you to define a style and stick with it. I'm not saying you need to blow thousands of dollars on a chandelier, but you do need to choose a great piece to build from.

Here are a few bold statement chandeliers I am loving right now. These are all bright and unique fourcing color in! Don't be afraid of color (more on that later). Enjoy.
This beautiful glass beaded piece is from Currey Lighting. Made from turquoise and jade polished glass. The glass beads are applied by hand. Retails at $4,740.00.
This 3 layered vibrant chandelier is made from Mitra shells, wrought iron and glass. Awesome color with gold leaf detailing. Retails for $1,640.00 from Currey Lighting.
The Carousel Lantern is available in a lollipop red finish and would be awesome paired over an island. Retail cost is $740.00 and is available here.
The Flamingo Chandelier is a gorgeous piece in shades of pink. The ombre style of the bead work (also applied by hand) makes this a truly unique piece. Perfect for a kid room, mater bath or fun office.
Retails for $5,240.00 and is available here.
The Serena chandelier is made of aqua glass balls and finished in an elegant silver granello finish. Perfect for an entry way. Retail cost is $3,240.00 and can be purchased here.
This piece offers a calmer color palette, but is equally spectacular in design. The Zsa Zsa pendant (great name) is made from brass and is finished with an antique wash. The balls are clear glass and makes for a great statement piece grouped together or hung in a powder bath. Retail cost is $1,640.00. Available here.

This eclectic 5-light chandelier is made of 52 vintage pale azure glass bottles. It has a rust finish and the bottles are slightly opaque and antique. This is a great piece for a dining room or entry. Retails for $2205.00 from Arteriors

See what an impact a vibrant light fixture can have in a space.
